Custom Graphics for Unique Stickers
On the 4th of October 2012 Facebook passed the target of one Billion (100,000,00) active members worldwide!
There was a time when every business had to have a website.
Now those businesses also need a Facebook Business Page!
In the UK Facebook now has over 32 million UK users with the average member having 130 friends and creating some 90 items of content every month. This is about half of the U.K. population and 67% of those who use the internet. Whilst many will argue that this figure represents only the young and computer literate they are wrong! User stats show that nearly 50% of these users are over 25 years of age! Additionally 60% of users claim to have an annual income of over £30K.
This facts outlined above mean that any business that is serious about selling and reaching the widest customer base should be properly represented on Facebook. Only few years ago it was deemed essential that every business had an internet presence by way of a website, now that internet presence should also include a business page on Facebook. Worldwide membership of Facebook membership worldwide is growing at a annual rate of around 25%. Growth figures for the UK are an amazing 38% in the last 6 months making it one of the fastest growing membership areas in the Western world!
Business Pages - What are they?
Facebook has offered Businesses and Organisations a separate page for some time. However, on 30 March 2012, this representation was vastly improved and allowed the popular timeline format for their page (Already in use by normal Facebook members). This new look allows more space for posts and graphics as well as an opportunity to highlight certain entries and events within that page. They also have the facility to integrate, within Facebook, non Facebook content such as parts of your website or specially produced pages with video, audio and user interaction. Such pages can not only be found by users within Facebook but also by Google and other search engines where such pages will be generally be highly ranked in search results.
Facebook's algorithms are highly advanced and allow information between friends based on many factors that help to serve up information to other contacts that may interest them. The creation of a business Page within Facebook will allow you business to be part of that interaction and help promote your business in new, exciting and different ways. Posts made by you or others on your pages can spread to thousands depending on the content and interests of your followers.
Should your business and facebook page meet with your customer's approval they will almost certainly opt to "Like" you. By pressing that little button on the top right of the screen they are not only giving your business a vote of approval but they are also bookmarking your page for future return visits. The most important aspect of being liked though is the fact that any future posts or events made on your page could well appear within those who liked you newsfeeds. This "Liking" of your page is therefore quite important and it should also be remembered that every time someone 'Likes' that action will be reported on their friends page! Look upon those (genuine) likes as free advertising!
